Founder
Dr Gregor Malich
Gregor is the founder of INSPECC. He is a safety and environmental engineer with a doctorate in assessment methodologies for contaminated sites and related high-risk operations. He has close to 30 years of experience in managing complex technical and development programmes in many regions, countries and contexts.

Gregor began his career as Project Manager for the safe operation of industrial facilities across sectors. He specialised in the assessment and remediation of contaminated sites such as derelict chemical plants and abandoned military sites. Soon he led the safety and environmental audit group of an international engineering firm and introduced new methods for risk and quality management systems including for business process reviews and improvements.
Since then, Gregor has worked extensively with globally operating firms and organisations in various functions. At the International Atomic Energy Agency, he was in charge of technical cooperation programmes with developing countries; for a leading professional services company, he applied an innovative methodology for multi-hazard emergency risk assessments; at the International Committee of the Red Cross, he headed the establishment of a humanitarian response capacity to prepare for and protect from chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear events; and with the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty Organisation, he held several positions including Chief for inspection technology development and rapid deployments.
Since 2021, Gregor brings together all strands of his multi-facetted experience and puts them at the service of INSPECC. Thanks to his well-established network, INSPECC can draw on a large number of international experts.
